I had the privilege of going to the 88 Boadrum in LA at the La Brea Tar pits. I got there about 3 hours early and was able to screen print my own Nike branded 88 Boadrum tee. After the tee was done I went and sat down next to drummer 88 (Zach Hill) about 10 minutes before 8:08pm when the show started. The Boredoms led by Yamantaka Eyes started by having everyone ride their cymbals for about 15 minutes till loud and slow tribal beats took over the cymbals. Yamantaka Eye led the charge by pounding his 7 neck guitar setup and since I was next to Zach Hill (who I am convinced was the loudest drummer there) I heard the 88 boadrum performed by mostly Zach Hill. He was improvising his own Hella-like beats every 20 seconds and proved to anyone within a 50 ft. radius that he was the best drummer there. The show ended 88 minutes after it started the same way it began with everyone riding their cymbals. It was one of the best shows I have been to in a while and surely a experience I will not forget.

Cute photo of me and Zach.

This is near the end of the set at about the 60 minute mark.
This is how the show ended with the spiral of drummers standing and hitting their cymbals.
